Music Production HQ has been live for almost a month! 

The odds of much of anyone seeing this when it is posted is pretty much nobody however with time hopefully that will change. So far in under a month 42 people have made their way here and a few of you have left some inspiring comments. Some have been friends and I’m sure it picked up me checking the website way to often. So here is what is in store for the near future

YouTube Channel 

They plan is to have a YouTube channel up and running with in the first few months of the year. Videos that are to the point and will allow you to save time cut to the point and spend more of it creating music. I am new to creating videos so it may be rough starting out but it will be worth it if I can reach more people and help them save time and money on their music production My goal will be 1 video a week covering varying topics around music production, recording, mixing and mastering, along with some in studio video logs from Blackbird Studios. If things go well I would also like to start getting into product reviews as well.

Twitter / Facebook Pages / RSS Feed

Music Production HQ will have a Facebook Fan Page along with a Twitter account and an RSS feed to spread the word. Once again I am new to being an admin a Facebook page but I will get the hang of it.

Guest Writer

On my trip back to Minneapolis I got to spend time with a good friend Phil and he wants to share his wisdom on varying topics. He specializes more in post production and has tons of amazing information that will help your production value. He is also very much a systems / workflow guy that will help you stay organized and make you more efficient at everything you do. He is also the one that made me hip to data back up that ended up saving 3 years of work. If you haven’t yet go check that post out it’s worth it to save your data!  Needless to say I am very excited to have him on board to write. Get Music Production in front of more readers 

My second goal other than creating amazing content for everyone that comes here is to get that amazing content in front of more readers. If there is something you want to know more about please let me know as I am here to help you! I would like to get an article featured on a bigger blog like a Lifehacker Mashup etc. I also plan to continue my series on music studio equipment and how to set up a home studio series covering everything from how to pick out studio monitors to microphone selections to audio interface selections.

Possible Product Launch / Interviews with people in the industry / Mic shoot outs / 

All of the above are things I would like to do in 2013. I have always wanted to put a in-depth product together that covered everything I learned in school and what I have learned since pertaining to Music Production.

As the website becomes bigger I plan to approach people who are in the music industry and interview them to share with you. I am sure there will be some very insightful material

Lastly I plan to do some mic shootouts since I will have accesses to some seriously kick ass microphones and share that with you. I will also use more common mics to help you in your microphone selection process.

I have a few other tricks up my sleeve that I would like to get going as well so make sure to check back as this is just the start of what I want to do here at Music Production HQ. Hopefully your 2012 was amazing lets hit the ground running and produce some amazing music in 2013
